Davidson Chalmers Stewart is a leading independent commercial law firm operating from offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
The firm's underlying business rationale is to provide clients with excellent quality service which combines first rate technical legal skills with practical commercial advice. Davidson Chalmers Stewart provides colleagues with a supportive culture which allows each individual to flourish.
We pride ourselves on being different and provide clear, practical and commercial advice to clients ranging from start-ups and SMEs to listed companies. Our trainees get the opportunity to be involved in transactions that trainees at other firms can only dream about.
What you can expect as a trainee
During your training you will have the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of commercial legal matters working directly with a Partner alongside a diverse group of qualified lawyers in each department. You will be hands-on with clients from start to finish in each of the following key areas of commercial law:
You’ll know exactly what’s going on, as you’ll be right at the centre of it, not a passive spectator.
Being a people business, we also remember to take time out for social activities (with clients & each other). And we remember that graduates are people who like excellent pay packages. So, we offer those too.
Practical work will be supported by regular training sessions where trainees are involved with qualified lawyers, including Partners, allowing trainees to gain the benefit of their insight and experience.
We also meet Diploma fees for successful applicants for our Traineeships.
