Laura Tainsh, Davidson Chalmers’ Partner in Environment & Waste will be speaking at the upcoming Brownfield Land Scotland 2019 conference on 6 February in Edinburgh.

Laura’s specialist legal expertise is underlined by her recognition as a Chartered Waste Manager with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), the only solicitor in Scotland to have obtained this accolade.

Her presentation will focus on ‘Outlining the changes to waste management policy and legislation in Scotland and the implications for contaminated land projects’.

Laura’s session will include:

  • Detailing recent and forthcoming changes to waste policy in Scotland
  • Outlining how enhanced compliance will affect sites going forward
  • Assessing the cost implications for brownfield and construction projects

The 12th annual Brownfield Land Scotland conference will bring together expert lawyers, regulators, consultants and industry representatives to provide up-to-date information on the current planning and regulatory backdrop for brownfield land development in Scotland, as well as providing practical solutions to many current challenges faced when risk assessing and remediating contaminated and derelict land.

You can find out more including a Q&A with Laura at Brownfieldbriefing.
