I have acted in the full range of construction disputes, and have handled cases from early discussions through to adjudication, enforcement and subsequent determination by arbitration or in court. I have also advised clients on various aspects of construction projects in order to minimise or avoid disputes where possible. I am all too aware that clients never seek out disputes and will always strive to achieve the best results for my clients, including advising them through negotiation and mediation where settlement can be achieved.
With a strong background in commercial litigation, I continue to manage and develop my practice in this area, where I have gained an excellent reputation for the handling of a wide variety of cases. I have handled these cases from the Sheriff Court to the Supreme Court and, whatever the nature of the dispute you or your business may be going through, I’m able to advise on the different options available to you and guide you through whatever route is best for you.
I like to develop a relationship with my clients that allows me to identify your commercial objectives as quickly as possible in order to provide clear, honest advice about your dispute.
Away from the office, I like to spend as much time as possible travelling across Scotland, the rest of Europe, and further afield. I also enjoy baking (to the delight of my colleagues) and exploring the excellent culinary scene in Edinburgh.
