Caroline Matthews

Caroline is a Senior Associate specialist litigation lawyer and qualified as a Scottish solicitor in 2021. She is experienced in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), Scottish Land Court, Sheriff Appeal Court, Sheriff Courts across Scotland and regularly instructs counsel in respect of complex and high value matters in the Court of Session. Caroline also has experience in mediation and arbitration as alternative forms of dispute resolution.

Caroline manages a diverse caseload across a wide range of commercial disputes, specialising in property litigation. Caroline is particularly experienced in dilapidations and landlord/tenant disputes. Her clients include well-known multinational and Scottish companies.

Caroline quickly assesses the needs and interests of clients to get to the heart of what it is that they need to achieve, balancing legal expertise with commercial awareness to provide tailored, practical solutions.

Caroline grew up in Canada, graduating in 2013 from the University of Victoria with a BA in Political Science before moving to Scotland to obtain an LLB at the University of Aberdeen. Outside of the office, Caroline a keen reader and cook. When not spending time with her cats, Hamish and Harris, she likes to explore local pubs and restaurants.
