Hugo Duffin

Hugo is a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution team based in the Edinburgh office, advising clients on a broad range of contentious matters, including commercial and property disputes, debt recovery and tribunal proceedings.

He regularly appears in Sheriff Courts across Scotland and works closely with counsel and other professional advisers in relation to complex and high-value disputes.

Hugo trained with the firm, gaining experience across Dispute Resolution, Corporate, Environmental, Waste & Renewables and Commercial Real Estate. During his traineeship, he also undertook a secondment with ERG SpA, a leading European renewable energy operator, where he worked with the UK and US legal teams on a variety of transactional and advisory matters.

His experience across a range of practice areas allows him to bring a commercial perspective to dispute resolution and help clients achieve practical and effective outcomes.

Outside of work, Hugo enjoys playing and watching football, as well as travelling, golfing and cooking.
