Magnus Miller

As a Partner in the Dispute Resolution team, Magnus advises on a wide range of real estate and commercial litigation matters.  As well as this his practice covers insolvency, debt recovery, professional negligence, regulatory matters and Judicial Reviews. 

He has acted in a full range of commercial disputes, from initial client discussions to conducting litigations and receiving and enforcing judgements.  He has significant experience in both the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts as well as acting for clients in arbitrations and mediations.  Magnus has acted for various types of clients in both the public and private sector; including landowners, landlords and tenants, insolvency practitioners.  Dealing with high value commercial litigation, real estate disputes and contentious insolvency he has gained a strong commercial insight that allows him to give pragmatic and commercially focused advice to clients.

Magnus’s strength is in quickly identifying what his clients’ objectives are and focusing on achieving them, whilst always being mindful of the commercial realities of any situation.

Magnus is ranked by the independent legal directory Legal 500 as a rising star in Real Estate Litigation.

He is a member of the Property Litigation Association.

Outside of the office Magnus is a keen runner, having completed the Edinburgh and London marathons.  He also likes to cook, go to the football and play golf (in fair weather).
