I’m an Associate in the Davidson Chalmers Stewart Corporate Department having joined the firm in 2006 as a trainee solicitor.

My role involves advising clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions including:

  • advising new businesses;
  • business acquisitions and sales;
  • corporate restructurings;
  • joint venture agreements;
  • partnership agreements;
  • intellectual property rights (e.g trademark applications, copyright infringement);
  • corporate finance;
  • advising charities with their constitution and applications for charitable status.

Over the years I have built a particular expertise in the Health Sector, advising medical partnerships, dental practitioners, pharmacies and veterinary practices in relation to partnership and shareholders’ agreements, incorporation, the sale and acquisition of their businesses as well as resolving disputes.

Outside the office, I’m on the committee of the Edinburgh branch of the Scotland China Association, China being an area of interest to me since I spent a year working in Shanghai, and I am a member of the Portobello Rowing Club. I have a working knowledge of French and always look for an opportunity to brush-up on my language skills.

What others say:

Clients speak highly of associate Lisa Kitson, describing her as "very helpful and approachable," as well as "a good communicator." She assists medical partnerships and dental practitioners with a raft of contentious issues and commercial agreements.
