Davidson Chalmers and Kergan Stewart to Merge

We are delighted to announce that Davidson Chalmers is to merge with Glasgow boutique firm Kergan Stewart on 1 May 2019. 

The newly named Davidson Chalmers Stewart will combine 16 partners and 45 staff creating a team of commercial legal experts focused on the needs of business clients, large and small, from across Scotland and beyond.  Reflecting the strong strategic fit between the two firms, all existing roles will be retained in the new business.

Davidson Chalmers Stewart will feature one of the strongest corporate teams in the Scottish market place.  Headed up by Davidson Chalmers partner Craig Stirling, it will include seven high profile partners with experience across a full spectrum of businesses from start-ups to listed companies.

Andrew Chalmers, founding partner of Davidson Chalmers, becomes Managing Partner within the merged firm while Alan Stewart, founding partner of Kergan Stewart, will take up the role of Chairman. Davidson Chalmers Stewart will continue to operate from the combined firms’ existing offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Galashiels.
